<p>At 8:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel in Putre and head towards Caquena. From there, we will follow the route to Cosapilla, entering one of the most beautiful spots in the Chilean altiplano. Awaiting us are the famous colorful mountains of Suriplaza. As soon as we reach the foothills, we’ll begin a trekking route divided into three stages. During this 6-kilometer, 4-hour trek, we’ll traverse several medium-difficulty trails that allow us to appreciate the reddish, ochre, and brown tones of the Suriplaza mountains. In the first stage, we will ascend to an elevation of 5,100 meters, with the following stages taking us to 5,200 and 5,300 meters above sea level. As we climb, we’ll enjoy beautiful views of the queñua forests and ancient llaretas—two distinctive plant species of the region. We’ll pause midway through the route for a picnic with sandwiches, nuts, chocolate, and natural juices. After recharging, we’ll descend gradually through the colorful mountains of Suriplaza to observe the details of its various shades more closely. Finally, we will return to the starting point and drive back to Putre, with an estimated arrival at your hotel between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m.</p>
